Italian Stewed Tomatoes 4 qts. peeled, chopped tomatoes 1 cup chopped celery 1/2 cup chopped onion 1/4 cup chopped, green pepper 1 tblesppon honey or sugar 2 tsp. basil, dried or 2 tablespoons fresh Combine all ingredients in large sauce pot, cook until done, stir occaisonally, to prevent sticking. Steralize jars, put 1/2 tsp. salt in each jar. Then, ladle hot tomatoes into the hot, steralized jars . Put on two-piece caps which have also been strealized. (Ball Blue Book of Canning)
