Dill Pickles Put in each qt. jar : 1/4 tsp. alum 3 or 4 buttons of garlic 1 tsp. dill seed Pack cukes in jars. Heat to boiling and pour over cukes: 1 qt. vinegar 2 qts. water 1 cup plain or pickling salt Seal jars. Let stand for 6 weeks, before using (Providence Coookbook)
