Free-Range Poultry

Wil-Moore Farms raises Free Range Poultry. Pastured poultry is a production environmentally friendly system that employs raising chickens directly on pasture. The model has been developed during the last 20 years and allows the birds to receive up to 20 percent of their feed intake from pasture forage. Our pastures are certified organic, so you can rest assured our products are safe to eat. Our poultry are raised with shelters that are moved onto fresh grass. The birds have lots of room to run while still having the shelters to give them shade from the sun and protection from the rain. The range area and the shelters are surrounded with mesh to protect the birds from predators. By moving the range, the birds have access to fresh vegetative grass at all times. This gives the flocks a clean healthy environment to thrive in. The birds are also fed, free choice, high quality feed, custom ground to our specifications

Poultry Products

• Eggs
  All natural, free-range, antibiotic and hormone free
  Our hens lay brown eggs that have dark yellow yolks. The eggs are usually processed the day they are laid to insure that you receive the freshest eggs possible.
  
• Chicken
  All natural, raised on pasture, free from medicines and growth stimulants, and humanely harvested
  Our chicken is plump, tender, juicy and full of favor. They are humanely harvest at a USDA facility by hand and are air chilled. Air chilling eliminates the water retention and cross contamination found in commercial chicken.
• Turkey
  All natural, raised on pasture, free from medicines and growth stimulants, and humanely harvested
  Our turkey is like our chicken, plump, tender, juicy and full of favor. We raise both broad breast (traditional breed) and heritage breeds such as Bourbon Red and Blue Slate. The heritage breeds have smaller breast, but are full favor like a wild turkey without the gamey taste. Our turkeys are mainly available at Thanksgiving, but we have a limited supply during the year. If you are looking for an outstanding Thanksgiving turkey, then we suggest you order early.
• Turkey Sausage
  All natural, raised on pasture, free from medicines and growth stimulants, and humanely harvested
  Our turkey sausage is the same as our holiday birds. It’s free from added nitrates, preservatives, fillers and pork products. It is seasoned as a breakfast sausage and comes in links, patties and one pound bulk package.
